She worked alongside MP and Minister for Education Ong Ye Kung in organizing Meet-the-People Sessions in Gambas Ward. Poh also serves as the Deputy Chairman of the PAP Sembawang Branch and Vice-Chairman of the Citizen's Consultative Committee of the ward. She was appointed Deputy Chairperson of the Sustainability and Environment Government Parliamentary Committee in the 14th Parliament.

=== Her opinions about why the Airbus H225M replaced the Super Puma ===
As the experienced helicopter pilot during her service with the RSAF, she gave her opinion about why the Super Puma helicopter was replaced by the newer H225M.
The new H225M has a longer range by 20 percent and requires less manpower support. It can operate in restricted area and has a simpler maintenance.
The Super Puma had been serving the RSAF for more than three decades before being replaced.
