Previously, it was announced in Jun 2023 that PPP was joining hands with Peoples Voice (PV), the Reform Party (RP), and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to form an alliance called People’s Alliance (PAR).[2] By 22 Feb 2025, Goh Meng Seng announced in a Facebook post that his party has withdrawn from the four-party alliance, citing "irreconcilable strategic differences for GE2025" as the reason for the break-up.[3]
