Think Centre

Think Centre is an independent non-governmental organization (NGO) in Singapore, established on 16 July 1999. It critically examines issues related to political development, democracy, rule of law, human rights, and civil society. The organization's activities include research, publishing, organizing events, and networking.

In 2001, Think Centre was gazetted as a political association by the Singapore government, reflecting its active engagement in political discourse.

The organization has been involved in various initiatives, such as submitting reports for Singapore's Universal Periodic Review (UPR) to the United Nations Human Rights Council, advocating for the abolition of the death penalty, and promoting greater gender equality.

Think Centre also organizes public forums, seminars, and discussions to raise awareness and encourage active citizenship among Singaporeans. For instance, the "Politics 21" series aimed to explore political expression and action in Singapore.

Through these efforts, Think Centre continues to contribute to the development of a more informed and engaged civil society in Singapore.
