Ministry of Health
The Ministry of Health (MOH) is responsible for Singapore's health policies to provide health care service and the planning and development of the public and private healthcare sectors.
MOH Holdings (MOHH) is the holding company of Singapore's public healthcare institutions including National Healthcare Group, National University Health System and Singapore Health Services and oversees the distribution of medical resources. There are 8 Statutory Boards under MOH:
- Health Promotion Board (HPB)
- Health Sciences Authority (HSA)
- regulates the health products sector
- ensures that drugs, innovative therapeutics, medical devices and health-related products are regulated and meet safety, quality and efficacy standards
- also helps to formulate national drug policies
- Singapore Dental Council
- Singapore Medical Council
- Singapore Nursing Board
- Singapore Pharmacy Council
- Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners Board
- Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA, a new statutory board from 1 Apr 2025 onward)
