- Serving in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Singapore Land Authority, and Defence Science and Technology Agency.
- Practicing law at Allen & Gledhill LLP before transitioning to the security industry as CEO of TwinRock Pte Ltd.
- Joining Wee Swee Teow LLP in 2022 as a Partner, heading the Dispute Resolution and Regulator Practice Groups.
Political Career
Raj Joshua Thomas was appointed as a Nominated Member of Parliament (NMP) in January 2021 and was re-appointed for a second term in July 2023. As an NMP, he represented industry perspectives and contributed to legislative discussions on legal, security, and regulatory matters.

In his resignation letter, he also stated that he had come to appreciate the values of conviction, integrity, and commitment in governance and felt it was appropriate to resign at this time to serve Singapore in a different capacity.
His resignation was announced through an email to Members of Parliament, and his biodata was removed from the Parliament website. His departure has fueled speculation that he may contest in the 2025 General Election, which is widely anticipated to take place in early May.
