Cassandra Lee Shi Wee 吕思憓 (born c. 1991) is a Singaporean politician, lawyer, and community advocate. She has been serving as Member of Parliament (MP) for West Coast–Jurong West GRC since her election in May 2025. A member of the People’s Action Party (PAP), Lee focuses her parliamentary work on supporting young families, working parents, and seniors.

Early life & education

  • Raised in Singapore.
  • Awarded the SPRING Singapore Executive Development Scholarship to pursue a double honours degree in Law and Economics at the National University of Singapore, and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.[1]

Legal & professional career

  • Served at Enterprise Singapore, contributing to Singapore’s negotiation teams for regional and multilateral trade deals.
  • Joined the Singapore Legal Service as State Counsel and Deputy Public Prosecutor in the Civil Division of the Attorney‑General’s Chambers.
  • Currently Assistant Director & Technology Legal Counsel at EY Singapore, leading legal efforts in technology and artificial intelligence.[2]

Community and grassroots involvement

  • Began volunteering in 2009 in Yuhua SMC, following the example set by her mother, and later engaged residents in Jurong, focusing on support for young parents, barrier‑free accessibility, and ageing-in-place initiatives.[3]

Political career

  • Introduced as a PAP candidate for the new West Coast–Jurong West GRC on 15 April 2025. She stood in the Ayer Rajah division, succeeding Foo Mee Har and contesting against the Progress Singapore Party (PSP).[3]
  • On 3 May 2025, her PAP team secured approximately 60% of the vote.

Parliamentary & policy focus

  • Young families – championing childcare access, work–life balance, and parent-friendly employment.
  • Eldercare & caregiving – promoting dignity in ageing, home-based support, and community eldercare networks.
  • Youth engagement – amplifying Gen Y/Z voices in areas like AI, climate change, and mental health.[4]

Personal life

  • Married with two young children.
  • Early personal experience includes caring for her cancer-stricken father during her student years—an influence on her advocacy for eldercare.[3]
