Poh Li San
Poh Li San (Chinese: 傅丽珊; pinyin: Fù Lìshān; born 19 November 1975) is a Singaporean politician from the ruling People's Action Party (PAP). She has been representing the Sembawang West division Sembawang GRC in Parliament since 2020.[1]

Poh is a recipient of the Singapore Armed Forces Merit Scholarship (Women). She served as a helicopter pilot in the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and became the first female aide-de-camp to President S. R. Nathan. After leaving the RSAF in 2010, she joined the Changi Airport Group and advanced to Vice President.
Education
Poh attended Dunman High School and Temasek Junior College before graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign in 1998. She obtained a Bachelor of Science with highest honors in engineering and a Bachelor of Arts with summa cum laude distinction in economics. Poh was also awarded the Bronze Tablet for ranking in the top 3% of her cohort.
Career
Military career
Poh was the recipient of the Singapore Armed Forces Merit Scholarship (Women) in 1994 and began her military career in the RSAF, training as a helicopter pilot. She flew the Super Puma helicopter with 125 Squadron at Sembawang Airbase, participating in search and rescue missions and the SAF's humanitarian efforts in Aceh after the 2004 Boxing Day Tsunami.
In 2003, Poh became the Assistant Director at the Future Systems Technology Directorate under the Ministry of Defence, where she helped shape long-term force development strategies and military technology innovations. By 2005, she had become the Flight Commander of 125 Squadron.
In July 2006, Poh made history as the first female aide-de-camp to President S. R. Nathan, coordinating state visits, meetings, and ceremonial events. She left the RSAF in 2010 at the rank of Major.
Post-Military Career
After her military service, Poh transitioned to the Changi Airport Group in May 2010, where she initially headed the Budget Terminal operations. From 2012 to 2017, she led the planning and development of Terminal 4, integrating new technologies and innovations to boost passenger experience and operational efficiency. She is Vice President of the Terminal 5 planning team, overseeing the design of specialized airport engineering systems for the new terminal.
Political career
Poh joined the People's Action Party in 2018 and became an active grassroots leader in Sembawang GRC. She worked alongside MP and Minister for Education Ong Ye Kung in organizing Meet-the-People Sessions in Gambas Ward. Poh also serves as the Deputy Chairman of the PAP Sembawang Branch and Vice-Chairman of the Citizen's Consultative Committee of the ward. She was appointed Deputy Chairperson of the Sustainability and Environment Government Parliamentary Committee in the 14th Parliament.
In 2020, Poh was appointed Vice-Chairperson of the Sembawang Town Council (SBTC).

Her opinions about why the Airbus H225M replaced the Super Puma
As the experienced helicopter pilot during her service with the RSAF, she gave her opinion about why the Super Puma helicopter was replaced by the newer H225M.
The new H225M has a longer range by 20 percent and requires less manpower support. It can operate in restricted area and has a simpler maintenance.
The Super Puma had been serving the RSAF for more than three decades before being replaced.[2]
Personal life
Poh was born to a school teacher father and an accounts clerk mother. She is of Hokkien descent and a Christian.
